Hi C****
Can you have a look into this residents complaint, it seems they did not
realise that we would be collecting in Warham Rd on the Saturday because
of the strike, the litter grade at this time of day is very good for
Green Lanes, the issue of bags by the litter bins needs to be passed to
enforcement.
Many thanks

Hello Mrs E
I am writing to regarding Refuse collections from Warham Road N4
Due to strike action last week, no refuse collections happened on 16th
and 17th July therefore refuse collections were put back by 2 days.
Instead of Warham Road receiving its regular Friday collection, for this
week only the refuse collection took place on Sunday. We are sorry if
this has caused you an inconvenience and refuse collection will revert
back to scheduled collection days. The scheduled day of refuse
collection on Warham Road N4 is a Friday.
Green Lanes is a timed collection Road. Refuse is to be put out for
collection only between 08:00 to 09:00 and 21:00 to 22:00. Failure to
put rubbish in Green Lanes for collection between these times may result
in a fine or prosecution. I have passed this issue of bags being put out
on Green Lane outside this time for our enforcement team to investigate.
I hope that this information has been helpful, but if you need any
further information then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely

Dear Mr C*****
Thank you for your prompt response to my concerns. I was aware both of the strike and the change to the collecting times but it appears some of my neighbours were not. This does not really explain why they chose to stack their rubbish on the pavement or add a couple of mattresses to it. However the rubbish was cleared away very effectively and it is to be hoped that this behaviour from a few houses was a one off.
However, I am more concerned about the gradual slipping of the timed waste collection on Green Lanes
This set of photos

taken mid afternoon on a Saturday and a Wednesday, show that there is again an increasing tendancy for people to put their waste out at the wrong time. I am very pleased that enforcement are going to be dealing with this and hope that this set of pictures may be of help.
There has been some mention of metal signs about waste collection going up on Green Lanes which may help to remind people of the rules. I was wondering if and when they will be put up.
Yours sincerely
Mrs E
Well, we shall see if there is any improvement. But at least I've got some names now of people whose job it is to keep on top of this.
